Before you buy, our team is here to help — whether that's confirming exact dimensions, checking what's in stock, or helping you choose between two options. A quick chat before your order means you get exactly what you want, it arrives once, and nothing goes to waste. That said, life happens — and our policy below is clear, honest, and fair.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law — always, with no time limit
Regardless of any store policy, the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) gives you strong, guaranteed rights that no retailer can take away or restrict:
· You are entitled to a remedy if a product is faulty, defective, or stops working under normal use within a reasonable time
· You are entitled to a remedy if a product does not match its description, photos, or specifications as advertised
· You are entitled to a remedy if a product arrives damaged
· These rights apply regardless of how long ago you purchased, and regardless of whether you have the original packaging
· No time limit applies to ACL remedies — they exist independently of our store policy below
For ACL-covered issues, KK Lifestyle will provide your choice of: a full refund to your original payment method, a replacement of the same item (subject to stock), or store credit. We cover all return freight costs for ACL-covered returns.
If your item arrives damaged or is faulty — what to do
Contact us as soon as possible via chat or our Contact page. For damaged-on-arrival items, please take photos of the packaging and the item within 48 hours of delivery — this helps us resolve your claim faster. We will arrange a replacement or full refund, and we will cover all costs.
Change-of-mind returns — 14 days from delivery
We accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days of your delivery date. We're upfront about this window — it reflects the return policy of our specialist furniture suppliers, and we'd rather tell you clearly than hide it in fine print. Our strong recommendation: chat with us before you order. Our team will confirm exact dimensions and help you choose with confidence — it takes 2 minutes and means your order arrives right the first time.
Conditions for change-of-mind returns
· Your return request must be submitted within 14 days of the confirmed delivery date
· The item must be unused and in its original condition
· All original packaging must be fully intact — boxes, protective foam, fixings, and instructions
· Flat-pack furniture items must not have been assembled — once assembled, items cannot be returned for change of mind
· The item must not fall into the exclusions listed below
Return shipping for change-of-mind returns
For change-of-mind returns, return freight is at your cost. For large furniture items, this can be $80–$250 depending on size and destination — we'll always provide you with a clear freight quote before you commit to a return. This is why we genuinely encourage you to chat with us before ordering — a 2-minute conversation is always better than an expensive return.
Items that cannot be returned for change of mind
· Mattresses, pillows, and manchester/bedding items that have been removed from sealed packaging (hygiene requirement)
· Items that have been fully or partially assembled
· Items without complete original packaging
· Items marked as Clearance or Final Sale at the time of purchase
· Custom or special-order items
· Items where the return request is made after 14 days from the confirmed delivery date

Important: Hygiene exclusions and the 14-day window apply only to change-of-mind returns. If any excluded item is faulty, misdescribed, or damaged on arrival, your ACL rights apply in full — contact us immediately. |
How to request a return
Contact us via chat on our website or through our Contact page. Please include your order number and the reason for your return. We respond within 1 business day with a Return Authorisation (RA) number and next steps. Please do not send items back before receiving your RA number — returns without authorisation cannot be processed.
Refund processing times
Once your returned item is received and inspected, we process your refund within 3–5 business days to your original payment method. You will receive an email confirmation as soon as the refund is issued. Please allow up to 5 additional business days for your bank or payment provider to post the refund to your account.
Store credit
Refunds may be offered as store credit at your request. Store credit does not expire and can be used on any future purchase at kklifestyle.com.au.
