In Victoria, pools and spas with a water depth of 30cm or more - including inflatable pools - must be surrounded by a compliant safety barrier, and owners are required to register the pool or spa with their local council and have the safety barrier inspected once every four years. Requirements vary by state and territory - check with your local council before setup.
